More about the Author

 Hello again!

Without no further introduction, here is a little but more about me.

I grew up and went to high school in Adamsville Tennessee. I never played any sports, but I was heavily involved with my school's art program. This involved taking 2 semesters past the available art classes as well as organizing a super cool glow in the dark art show. I attended Bethel University originally planning to become a nurse. However, after a couple of tries I realized that it just wasn't for me, and switched my major to art. I now plan to get my master's in fine arts after graduation and hopefully one day teach at NYU.

Some things to know about me are that I am a huge Harry Potter fan, Slytherin being my house. I enjoy pretty much any music that is not country, but my favorite artist is probably Russ or Korn. I am currently dabbling in tattoos and would love to get an apprenticeship someday. Lastly, I love to travel; New York and New Orleans are my favorite places to be.

If you would like to add me on my socials, I will add my Instagram, Snapchat, and Tiktok.

These two photos display the piece I did for my high school glow in the dark art show.

This is a tattoo I did on myself. It is a snake wrapped around belladonna.

  1. That tattoo is really cool! I would mess a tattoo up for sure dude. Glow in the dark related things are always cool.

  2. I'm also a Harry potter fan (not so much a JK Rowling fan lol). I used to be a raven claw but I retook the pottermore test not to long ago and it said i'm a slytherin too. Love the tattoo by the way! The tattoo i'm planning to get soon also has a snake, but its wrapped around a sword.

  3. Hello again, Kylie! After seeing what you did in Digital Photography, I look forward to what you might accomplish in here. So, there's an interesting thing happening with your blog. It looks one way when I view the main page, but then looks completely different when I click to view your post. I really enjoy the typewriter-esque look of the post once I click to read more of it and I enjoy the gray and red pallet.

Assignment 4: Special Edits.

With this first photo, I took a prism and placed it in front of the lens, creating a reflection effect.    With this photo, I  placed a pink camera lens filter on, then used my hand to create shadows on her face. In this photo, I took my phone and used it as a mirror to reflect her face.   This photo is a triple exposure that we learned in class, I do wish I could have made it more clear, however Madison could not stay still enough. Here we took the light and used light writing to create a figure toughing Madison's hand This photo was used as light writing. we kept it vertical to balance the wide angle. With this photo we tried normal light writing, as you can see it did not turn out. This last photo turned out to be my favorite. It started out as normal light writing to give Madison a halo. However we forgot to add a flash of light in the end and I think it turned out better than it would have if I had remembered. In the end, I ended up doing very little...

The Invisible Man

Above are my attempts at making will invisible. the last photo in particular was hard to pull off as I had to completely copy and paste will onto the background photo to move him around because the two images did not match up.

Computer Art meets Photography

Below are graphic posters I designed for last year's art show but never completed. I used techniques learned in both this class as well as the Digital Photography class. Chernobyl - 2021 Grettel - 2021   Grudged - 2021 Some different techniques used in these images are brush strokes with dogging and burning, filters, shapes, distortion, and more. The black and white images gave many more options to work with.
