Photography Exposure

Epcot center (Asia)- kSc
What does a photograph mean to you? For me, it is a way to capture exactly what I see in that moment. This could be a memory, a reminder or a time. It could also be a way to capture what you feel in a particular moment. The beauty of it all is that photographs themselves are so simple to look at but can usually entice all different types of emotions. And a person does not need to be a proficient to create these images. One only needs a camera and the means to learn what makes an enticing photo. What A marvelous hobby indeed.

Within my short life I have found photography to be one of my many artistic escapes. With a camera in my hand, people usually tend to shy away from my lens and as a result, they leave me alone. This is quite the relief for a social outcast like myself. However, I do often enjoy a subject to capture, and when no one else is willing I can find enjoyment in photographing my dearest friend, Madison Alexander.

I generally photograph all types of subjects as I travel but my favorite type of shoot involves picking a theme, and having a model dress up accordingly. Though, I will admit I tend to lean towards the darker subjects, it do still enjoy all types of theatric photography. From the class I am to attend, I am excited to learn new ways to light up my subjects and manipulate my camera to the the perfect shot the first time around.

  4. So...I find it particularly interesting that you started off by talking about photography's ability to present us with a captured moment and then went on to say that you enjoy having a theme and setting up planned photos. Then, on your Instagram, most of the images seem to fit in the first category. It's good to have a spectrum of interests. This blog looks good, too. The white on black with red accents is a nice look. Your fonts seem to be in maybe 3 or 4 different families, which can look a bit off sometimes. If that is what you want, then don't change anything. Otherwise, if you want something more consistent, maybe choose two fonts, and be very intentional about which is used for what. Well done.

Assignment 2: 3D

For my Assignment I've decided to upload these photos below as it shows my experience through learning 3D editing. This first photo is probably my least favorite. i love the colors in my suncatchers but because of the background the do not stand out as much as i would like.  This next photo is one of my favorites. The clock in the background creates a double image, which does not bode well for the 3D effect. However, i believe it creates and interesting image that really caught my eye. I am undecided on this particular image. while the effect is there, I do not see this as a particularly interesting image to look at.  This last photo in my favorite. The image was not very colorful to begin with, but desaturating it makes it stand out so much more.

More about the Author

Hello again! Without no further introduction, here is a little but more about me. I grew up and went to high school in Adamsville Tennessee. I never played any sports, but I was heavily involved with my school's art program. This involved taking 2 semesters past the available art classes as well as organizing a super cool glow in the dark art show. I attended Bethel University originally planning to become a nurse. However, after a couple of tries I realized that it just wasn't for me, and switched my major to art. I now plan to get my master's in fine arts after graduation and hopefully one day teach at NYU. Some things to know about me are that I am a huge Harry Potter fan, Slytherin being my house. I enjoy pretty much any music that is not country, but my favorite artist is probably Russ or Korn. I am currently dabbling in tattoos and would love to get an apprenticeship someday. Lastly, I love to travel; New York and New Orleans are my favorite places to be. If you wou...
