First black & White

Within last week we took a grand total of 36 exposures on our cameras. Below is my my first attempts of editing those photos on GIMP.      With this photo that I took of the basement stairs at the renaissance building, I began by turning the photo into black and white, then played around with the curves feature until I liked the result. I then began burning and dodging areas that I saw fit. unfortunately I feel I became heavy handed and did not like the result.      This photo I turned B&W and did not use the curves option. I then dodged the background and burned the cabin to make it stand out. I like the result and think it turned out okay. My only opinion was that the picture was originally a tad blurry and takes away from the over all image.

Photography Exposure

Epcot center (Asia)- kSc   What does a photograph mean to you? For me, it is a way to capture exactly what I see in that moment. This could be a memory, a reminder or a time. It could also be a way to capture what you feel in a particular moment. The beauty of it all is that photographs themselves are so simple to look at but can usually entice all different types of emotions. And a person does not need to be a proficient to create these images. One only needs a camera and the means to learn what makes an enticing photo. What A marvelous hobby indeed. Madison Downtown- kSc Within my short life I have found photography to be one of my many artistic escapes. With a camera in my hand, people usually tend to shy away from my lens and as a result, they leave me alone. This is quite the relief for a social outcast like myself. However, I do often enjoy a subject to capture, and when no one else is willing I can find enjoyment in photographing my dearest friend, Madison Alexander.   Enchantme

Hi! My name is Kylie Carroll.  I was born in raised in Savannah Tennessee, I attended Adamsville High school, and I am a junior at Bethel University getting ready to re-enter the nursing program. Something you'll learn about me is that I am a jack of all trades when it comes to my art. I pride myself on being able to create anything I set my mind to, and rarely find some art form I've never at least attempted. I also have a black cat named Theo that you will all probably see regularly in my photos.. so I'll just introduce you now. :) Here is my Instagram if you  would like to see more of me!
