Assignment 3: Clones

With this assignment, the goal was to take multiple images of one person and create an image of clones. below are the two images I came up with.

This first photo was my least favorite. while I feel like the back 2 clones were strong, the front clone is not my favorite, and I could not get it to blend quite right.
This last image I made, rightfully named "Enter Sandman", is my favorite. I asked to just do 2 images instead of three in exchange for me doing multiple clones. Will and I stayed after class and helped me. In all there where about 20+ clones photographed, however my iPhone camera clipped off a lot of them. in the end I believe I ended up with 13 clones. And despite my computer dying on clone 12 and having to start over, I finally got all of the clones into place. I am extremely proud of this image and the only clone I wish I could blend better was the one laying across the seats.

Assignment 2: DOF & Motion

For this assignment, since we were locked in due to the snow, me and my roommate Madison decided to use her as my model in a series of photographs. Here is the result. Depth of Field: With these photos, I experimented with depth of field. In the first Photo my goal was to show a shallow depth of field in showing the detail of the trees and Madison blurry in the background. I edited this photo by adding yellow to the highlights, green to the shadows, and upping the saturation of the red in her jacket. The second photo I tried keeping the depth more mid ranged to deep. Keeping the edge of the building in focus and the sky and trees in blur. I edited this photo by adding brown to the shadows and blue in the highlights. Then I added saturation in red and yellow to bring out the orange in the building.  In this photo however, I wanted the blur to be gradual. starting with a shallow field, my goal was to slowly see the blur increase as it went further into the distance. Photography Exposure

Epcot center (Asia)- kSc   What does a photograph mean to you? For me, it is a way to capture exactly what I see in that moment. This could be a memory, a reminder or a time. It could also be a way to capture what you feel in a particular moment. The beauty of it all is that photographs themselves are so simple to look at but can usually entice all different types of emotions. And a person does not need to be a proficient to create these images. One only needs a camera and the means to learn what makes an enticing photo. What A marvelous hobby indeed. Madison Downtown- kSc Within my short life I have found photography to be one of my many artistic escapes. With a camera in my hand, people usually tend to shy away from my lens and as a result, they leave me alone. This is quite the relief for a social outcast like myself. However, I do often enjoy a subject to capture, and when no one else is willing I can find enjoyment in photographing my dearest friend, Madison Alexander.   ...

Assignment 1: B&W

This happens to be the first photo I took in our assignment. As everyone left to go else where I started outside of the classroom door. I originally thought it was plain, then I realized once I turned it into black and white, it did have potential.  TV1: In this image I decided to play around with the curve feature, ending in a negative exposure. This edit gives me SYFY vibes that I enjoy. However, I do not like that the back wall is almost all one color. TV2: With the older TVs, I thought sepia was appropriate, unfortunately I believe this photo is lacking the vignette and camera grain to make this photo truly look vintage.   TV3: Because I did sepia, I felt I had to do cool toned. Unfortunately, this is my least favorite photo. The only thing I like about it is the tint of color it gives the TVs. If I where to change it I would just tint the mid-tones and shadows. TV4: For this image, I wanted to make it look like it was on an old TV itself. I lowered the contrast and gave t...
